Our Research Essentials modules are built upon the competencies developed by the Harvard Multi-Regional Trials Centre (MRCT) and aligned to competencies recommended by the NHMRC.

You can create your own course tailored specifically to you with our Core Skill Sets. Adopting a learner-centred approach, our Core Skill Sets empower you to create your own customised study plan composed of 6 modules and 2 electives of your choice. With 65+ modules covering a diverse range of topics, it’s easy for you to create a program that aligns with your goals and interests.
Valued at $1900, a Core Skill Set is just $1049 – saving nearly 50%, making it an even more effective investment.

Detailed Module and Elective descriptions
How long will it take?
Most modules take about 2-4 hours of focused study to complete online. A Skill Set or Competency (about 8-10 modules) will take around 6 months.
Please note that all PRAXIS courses must be completed within 12 months of enrolment.
What qualification do I get at the end?
After completing each module, you will get a certificate of completion that you can download. This can be used for accruing CPD points: 24 points for a core skill set, and 3 CPD points for each module.
Are there assessment tasks?
Yes – each module has around 3-4 short answer or multiple-choice assessment tasks built-in so you can check your knowledge as you progress.
What topics can I choose from?

How do I enrol?
- Go to our enrollment portal
- Select ‘Research Essentials’ from the Course Type drop-down box
- Enter the quantity of Core Skill Sets you would like next to the Core Skill Set box, and follow the prompts.
