Project Management Fundamentals for Research and Clinical Trials
*Expanded and Updated!
Clinical Trials and research involving humans more generally, can be considered some of the most complex projects to manage. They are bound by factors such as time, resources, and quality and make important contributions to the health and wellbeing of populations, communities, and individuals.
Yet traditionally we have not applied standard project management strategy, unlike just about every other industry and sector which have adopted and embedded these practices. By applying these accepted techniques to research we can provide greater assurance to funders and participants that research will achieve its aims – on time, on budget and to accepted quality standards.
This workshop will introduce key elements of what it takes to manage projects successfully and methodically in a research or clinical trials setting by applying established and recognised project management methodologies. You will walk away with a renewed sense of confidence and a tool kit of resources to help get you started – or to build on current systems and processes.
