About the Facilitator

Alishia Ballintine 

Alishia Ballintine is the Acting Regulatory, Start-Up and Patient Partnership Manager at the University of the Sunshine Coast – Clinical Trials (UniSC CT). Alishia holds a postgraduate qualification in Law with First Class Honours and currently serves as in-house Legal Counsel for UniSC. 

A passionate advocate for patient and consumer involvement in medical research, Alishia also oversees UniSC CT’s patient partnership initiatives, including coordinating Consumer Advisory Boards. as in-house Legal Counsel for UniSC. Alishia specialises in privacy and emerging technologies, with particular regard to the clinical trial ecosystem.

With over a decade of experience in medical research and the broader life sciences sector, Alishia has held diverse roles spanning clinical research, commercialisation, legal and regulatory affairs.
