- Human Research Ethics Committees: their role, purpose, function and the investigator responsibilities of HREC
- Your role in the informed consent process, including required elements and challenges in consenting patients to clinical trials
- Gain confidence to interpret the clinical trial documents that impact your role as an investigator, including safety reporting obligations and monitoring

How long will it take?
Most modules take 2-4 hours of focused study to complete online.
Please note that all PRAXIS courses must be completed within 12 months of enrolment.
Are there assessment tasks?
Yes – each module has around 3-4 short answer or multiple-choice assessment tasks built-in so you can check your knowledge as you progress.
What qualification do I get at the end?
After completing each module, you will get a downloadable certificate of completion. This can be used for accruing CPD points: 24 points for the core skill set, and 3 CPD points for each module.
How do I enrol?

- Select ‘Research Essentials’ from the Course Type drop-down box
