Have you heard of the work of the Wellcome Trust Good Clinical Trials Collaborative?

They are working to create a new set of guidelines for clinical trial design and conduct that will reduce regulatory burden and be better fit for purpose for research that doesn’t need to apply the existing and often onerous requirements of current international guidance,such as ICH. It is intended these guidelines will sit alongside existing practice, but will reflect a changing clinical trials landscape.
